  1. Food Packets Sealing Materials Lidding A substance used for the closure of bowls, plastic containers, and aluminium containers is called lidding. Usually, to seal the packets that contain soup or stock, a thin layer of lamination is used. Lamination can be on foil, paper, or plastic is used to avoid it from spilling. It is specially designed in a way that it does not shred when it is peeled. Lidding has a strong seal and adhesive that increases the shelf life of any product. Many attributes are taken into consideration while developing lidding. Some of which are peeling, printable, microwave-safe, freezer-safe, anti-fog, self-venting, oil resistant, grease resistant, and high barrier. The two main attributes of lidding are: Peeling- Lidding should be made in such a manner that it is easy to peel. The food industry has to make sure that its products are durable and have a longshelf-life. The packaging companies keeping these details in mind are coming up with lidding films that are easy to peel and promote longer shelf life. Anti-Fog- The lidding film is transparent so that the consumers can see the product. This visibility can help in selling the product. Lidding Rollstock Lidding rollstock is made up of repeating rows of lids in the shape of a web. It is manufactured in bulk of various widths to be used in different products according to its size. Rollstock lidding is a slice of packaging machinery. Rollstock can be utilized to seal various varieties of containers.
