  2. ABOUT ABOUT Konstantin Ishkhanov is entrepreneur & philanthropist, and the Founder and President of the European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC), a multinational organisation currently extending to the entire Eurasian continent, as well as North and South America. Thanks to the efforts of Mr Ishkhanov, the EUFSC annually organises dozens of festivals and concerts of classical music, as well as masterclasses, academies, ballets, and ice and theatre performances. The Foundation helps contribute to the development of emerging artists through its series of competitions for various instruments held all around the globe, and provides musicians with the opportunity to perform at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic and the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. In 2019, Mr Ishkhanov became the only foreign recipient of Malta’s highest cultural award.

  3. BIOGRAPHY BIOGRAPHY Since childhood, when musicians and artists would frequent the family home due to his mother’s piano performances and other artistic activities, Ishkhanov developed a strong affinity for the arts, in particular classical music. Despite a technical education in his youth, this fascination with music has remained a constant throughout Ishkhanov’s life, and formed the main driving force for him to later found the European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC). Since the EUFSC’s formation, Ishkhanov has primarily directed his energies to both this and other artistic ventures, and now is considered one of the principal actors in the world of cultural philanthropy.

  4. BIOGRAPHY BIOGRAPHY Throughout his career, the education of the next generation of classical music stars has been vitally important to Ishkhanov, and, as such, to the actions of the EUFSC. During his tenure as President of the EUFSC, he has instigated many educational initiatives aimed at supporting the artistic development of young musicians. These include the Malta Classical Music Academy and Middle East Classical Music Academy, as well as numerous standalone masterclasses, lectures and other educational projects. In addition, Ishkhanov and the EUFSC have supported many young musicians and provided unique performance opportunities including tours of foreign countries, recitals and assistance with further studies.

  5. ACTIVITIES AND PROFESSIONAL LIFE ACTIVITIES AND PROFESSIONAL LIFE In 2012, Ishkhanov founds the European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC), a non-profit organisation dedicated to organising and promoting cultural projects in Malta and around the world. In 2012, he launches the annual Malta International Music Festival – an event which has attracted world-famous classical music stars such as Grigory Sokolov, Maxim Vengerov, Ray Chen, Salvatore Accardo, Andreas Ottensamer and Nikolai Lugansky, amongst many others. In early December of 2019, he was awarded a medal for his contribution to the development of musical culture as part of a charity concert held in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.
