  1. Silicon-based or Water-based Lubricant, which is better? Lubricants are known to make things more slippery. It is a liquid or gel that is being used by women and their partners during intercourse to make the vulva, vagina or anal area more slippery. Lubricants can also be used by a man to put on their penis or a sex toy to make them slideable. There are different kinds of lubricants but for this article, we will be focusing on the top two kinds of lubricants: silicon-based and water-based. Lubes have often see lubricationfor just women when in fact, it is also made for men. Some women tend to have less natural lubrication which is why using synthetic lube is the answer for this. But when it comes to masturbation, men use lubes to have a smoother experience and lessen friction. Using a personal lubricant when having sex makes the experience far more pleasurable and enjoyable for both you and your partner.

  2. What is the difference between Silicon-based and Water-based Lubricants? Silicon-based lubricants are what condom manufacturers use in their products. It’s more conventional and this lasts longer than other lubes. This product tends to last longer than water-based lube as it contains oil and is less susceptible to being evaporated. However, they tend to cause more irritation in some women if they are not rinsed right away, it is also hard to rinse off. This is where the advantage of water-based lube comes in, it is inexpensive and easy to find anywhere. It’s found to be safer since it is water-based however, it dries up easily and you may have to reapply during intercourse. If you’re still uncertain, we’ll help you narrow down your options. Water-based lubes work with any toy and may be used in any activity. This condom is suitable for both latex and non-latex condoms. It’s also a great alternative for silicon-based toys and persons with sensitive skin. Water-based lube, on the other hand, is not recommended for usage in a wet location such as the shower or bathtub since it will rinse off quickly. Silicone-based lubes are ideal for hot tub activities. It’s slick, durable, and perfect for extended workouts. For shower sex, this is fantastic. This is amazing for shower sex or water play as they do not wash easily. However, prevent using it on silicon-based toys as they can break down rubber over time. Is the lubricant just for sex or can it be used somewhere else? Normally, lubricants are used as bedroom enhancers made just for sex and are used internally. But there are lubes that are used for arousal effects that help stimulate and turn you on. They can be used for massage (like oil-based lubes) or for foreplay. Usually, arousal lubes are oil-based lubricants and are of great use externally (for foreplay and masturbation) because this heightens your body’s senses and stimulates natural lubrication from your body. If you’re thinking if lubrication is used outside the bedroom, the answer is yes! There are lubricants that are made for medical purposes like surgilube or medicinal castor oil. Medical lubricants are handled by healthcare providers to provide lubrication and lessen the discomfort for the patient during certain medical and surgical routines such as vaginal and rectal examinations. What brand produces the best lube in the market? One of the recommended brands we’d like to share our Pjur Lubricants which produces silicon-based and water-based lubricants. There are also lubes that cater to what you’re looking for and how you’ll use the lube. Pjur Back Door is a water-based lubricant best for anal sex that leaves your skin feeling great because it contains regenerating panthenol and soothing chamomile. Pjur Analyse Me is also for anal sex but it is silicon-based which is great because it lasts long and will make you feel comfortable throughout.

  3. Busting a few lubricant myths: Myth 1: Only old or frigid people need lube. Many people still see lubricant as a type of medication used to treat dry vaginal conditions. Unfortunately, when we conceive of anything as a solution, we’re implying that the people who utilize it are flawed. The fact is that everyone uses lubrication for different reasons, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Myth 2: Lube is just for penis-vagina sex. Because penetration causes greater friction than other sexual activities, it’s natural to use lubrication when having penis-vagina intercourse. But it’s not the only sexual activity that benefits from a little more moisture. With lubrication, inserting anything inside the vaginal canal — fingers, a fist, a sex toy — will be easier. If your hands are a bit slick, rubbing and caressing your partner’s vulva or penis might feel extremely heated. When there’s lubrication involved, bumping and grinding without penetration can reach new heights. Of course, any anal activity requires a lot of lubricants because the butt doesn’t make any. Myth 3: If some lube is good, more must be better. There is such a thing as being overly wet. While excessive contact might irritate the skin, a small amount of friction is what makes sex delightful. Too much lubrication might make the experience less intense. Don’t worry if you got carried away with your first application. Wipe a tiny amount off with a towel or the t-shirt you just flung on the floor. Myth 4: All lubes are the same. Not all lubes are created equal. Settling on your favourites is mostly a matter of learning about the options and trying them out. You might prefer one lube over another based on the ingredients, the smell, the packaging, or the price. Here are the three kinds of lube you can choose from Water-based lube, Silicon-based lube, and Oil-based lube. Myth 5: I’m good to go since my condom is lubricated. Condoms and lubricants go along like, well, condoms and lubricants. Lubricant is necessary because unlubricated latex can be exceedingly dry and generate more friction than skin-to-skin contact. Many condoms are pre-lubricated on the outside to prevent friction. Some condoms feature lubricant on the inside, which might help the person using them have a better time. Adding lubricant to the inside or outside of a condom — or both — can make you feel as though there’s nothing between you and your companion. Using lubes should be viewed as a fresh and exciting experience. Lubricants make sex more delightful and enjoyable; yet, this does not make you or your partner any less attractive; rather, think of it as a step up in your bedroom diary. So pick the lubes that are a great match for your preferences, and your sex life will undoubtedly improve.
