According to the notification, the exam will be conducted on 6th December 2020. The exam for General Studies subject will be conducted from 11:30 am to 1: 00 pm, whereas the exam for Law subject will be conducted from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Bihar Public Service Commission had announced in the latest notification that the 31st Judicial Services exam has been postponed. The 31st BPSC Judicial Services exam was scheduled to be held on 7th October 2020 previously. However, due to unavoidable reasons, the commission has decided to postpone the exam. The exam is now expected to be conducted on 6th December 2020 as per the latest revised exam dates released in the official notification. The Commission has released a new list on its website in which it has listed 31 candidates who are eligible for the 31st BPSC Judicial Services Examination. Earlier, the Commission had published a list of candidates who were deemed ineligible for this recruitment for which they had invited objections from these ineligible candidates as well. Selection Process for BPSC Judicial Services Exam The BPSC Judicial Services Selection Process is divided into three stages. The candidates have to cross all the stages with flying colors to be selected at the desired post in the department of the judiciary. The three stages of the selection process are as follows: oPreliminary Written Exam: This is the first stage in which all the applicants have to appear for a written exam. The exam is based on Multiple choice questions. There are two papers in the Prelims, one covering topics from General Awareness and the other from Law. Note- The minimum qualifying marks for the candidates from unserved categories are 45%, whereas, for the re- served category, it is 40%. oMain Written Exam: For the mains, aspirants have to attempt for the written paper that covers subjects such as general studies and languages. Other than securing more marks than the qualifying marks, the candidates also have to score more than 30 marks in the language section to be eligible for the next stage. oInterview: The final stage of the selection process is the Interview. This is in the form of an oral exam in which the aptitude and practical knowledge of the candidates are judged. Certificates Needed for Candidate Verification The following certificates should be kept ready by the selected candidates for the document verification that hap- pened after the interview. oEducational certificates issued from University/ School Board oMark sheets of degree obtained 6

BPSC Judicial Services Eligibility Criteria 2020 The BPSC Judicial Services Eligibility Criteria is judged on the following two factors: 1.Age: The reference for the age limit is set on August 1, 2020. The minimum age of an applicant should be 22 years, and the maximum limit is 35 years. For the reserved categories, the relaxation, in maximum age is given The maximum age limit for the reserved category is 40 years. 2.Education Qualification: An applicant should have a Law-based degree from any recognized university in India. BPSC Judicial Services Recruitment 2020 Exam Pattern The BPSC Judicial Services Recruitment exam is divided into two stages. 1.Preliminary Exam: The complete exam is of 250 marks. To qualify this, one has to get 45% of the total marks. For the candidates from reserved classes, the minimum qualifying marks are 40% of the total. The questions are of objective type, with one mark awarded for each right answer.
