The CSIR-UGC NET Examination will be held to determine Indian Nationals' eligibility for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professorship in certain subject areas under the faculty of Science & Technology. Specifically, every aspirant must be aware of the CSIR NET Syllabus 2022 and exam pattern to perfectly prepare themselves for the examination.   5. CHEMICAL SCIENCES The pattern for the Paper MCQ test shall be as given below: 1. Paper Type: MCQ test paper 2. Total Marks:200 marks. 3. Exam time: 3 hours. 4. The question paper shall be divided into three parts 5. Negative Marking – 25% for each wrong answer.

EARTH, ATMOSPHERIC, OCEAN and PLANETARY SCIENCES • The pattern for the Paper MCQ test shall be as given below: • Paper Type: MCQ test paper • Total Marks:200 marks. • Exam time: 3 hours. • The question paper shall be divided into three parts • Negative Marking for Part A & B- 25% for each wrong answer. • Negative Marking for Part C – 33% for each wrong answer.

  7. LIFE SCIENCE • The pattern for the Paper MCQ test shall be as given below: • 1. Paper Type: MCQ test paper • Total Marks:200 marks. • Exam time: 3 hours. • The question paper shall be divided into three parts • Negative Marking – 25% for each wrong answer.

MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES • The pattern for the Paper MCQ test shall be as given below: • Paper Type: MCQ test paper • Total Marks:200 marks. • Exam time: 3 hours. • The question paper shall be divided into three parts • Negative Marking for Part A & B – 25% for each wrong answer. No Negative marking for Part ‘C’.
