This is bad news, because it deprives the social energy that young people and society in general have used for several decades to achieve the right of access to higher education that does not restrict the entry of talent into universities for economic reasons. Above all, higher education does not mean debt, which then becomes a real burden and harms people's development (as if we didn't know this story and didn't know where it leads us). Visit here: Kaf Matic Thus, among many amendments and votes, among many articles, panels of experts and observations, the issue of free education went unnoticed, which allowed more than 50% of Chilean students to study at university without getting into debt. It is clear that the status given to education by the new constitution does not represent its true value as a lever for the country's social and economic development. If so, it should be formulated as a basic human right and as an obligation of the State to guarantee and finance it, from pre-school to higher education. All this, without compromising the basic role of the family in the education of their sons and daughters, and choosing educational projects that best represent their values and global vision. But the materials intended for higher education do not represent any progress or innovative vision of this right which, as we all see year after year in school results, is still due. We continue to waste the most important resource for the development of our country, which is people, their skills and creativity. Same solutions, same results
