  2. CUMULATIVE TRAUMA INJURY These are injuries that come from repetitive motions that you make again and again in the course of doing your job. Many of them involve fingers, from typing, clicking, and the like. However, they can include so much more than that as well, like the Neck, Back, Shoulders, Arms, Elbows, Hands, Hips, Legs, Knees, and Feet. Often, what happens is that the worker puts excessive wear and tear on their muscles over an extended period of time.

  3. SOME EXAMPLES OF CUMULATIVE TRAUMA INJURIES Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, of course, is perhaps the best known and maybe the most common of the Cumulative Trauma Injury types. This happens to so many due to typing, as well as typing in unnatural positions as well. So-called “Trigger Finger” is another all too common Cumulative Trauma Injury. This is one where your fingers get stuck into a bent position where it may be difficult (or even impossible) to get them out of that. Another very common type of Cumulative Trauma Injury is excessive lower back pain. Of course, plenty of folks get this pain who work in warehouses, factory plants, agricultural farms, construction sites, hospitals, or other environments where they’re expected to carry heavy loads for a long period of time across great distances
