  1. How to Pick Your Crockery for Food Photography Do you love taking pictures of your food? Do you love to share them with your friends? Personally, I know a lot of people that love to make and decorate their food, share recipes online and have created an entire life out of their passion for food. If you find yourself following their footsteps or are simply enthusiastic about making your food look good then this article is for you. Here are a few tips on how to pick the perfect crockery for your food photography needs. 1.Pick white plates and bowls – White has been known to be the most diverse of colors when it comes to food photography and I’m sure you’ve noticed that many food blogs use white crockery in their photos. This is because a white background, essentially, helps maintain the focus on the food. This is great for novices since they are yet to get used to different camera settings and white helps them concentrate on the object, which is the food, more effectively. 2.Keep things Prim and Proper – I think this goes without saying but try to keep everything prim and proper before pulling out your camera. In order to make sure everything is camera-ready, take note of the table or the background, keep the plates clean by wiping off any and all smudges of food and set up your background to match the color scheme of the food. 3.Use other Objects – You can also use complimentary objects to highlight the main object of your image. For instance, use aluminum serving trays to place your food on, which not only makes it look more professional but is also a great way to sell your image. If you wish to buy aluminum serving trays head over to Julia Knight Collection and check out our elaborate collection today.
