  1. Factors That Should Be Considered When Buying Plastic Injection Molding Company Suppose you have chosen plastic injection molding, which is considered as one of the most widely used plastics machinery, as your method to manufacture your products. In that case, it becomes crucial for you to choose the right plastic machinery manufacturer or company that will help you make it into reality. Furthermore, it is important to have some guidance that will help you successfully direct the process from the concept stage to the final stage, where you get your finished product with the highest precision, with little waste, cost-effectiveness, and overall quality. Listing down of the few important things the Plastics Machinery Manufacturer should consider while choosing the plastic injection molding company: ●Plastics Machinery The plastic molding machines are available in various sizes and shapes. As a lot of people in the machine industry are aware, the plastics molding machine is as important and as relevant as any other machining process. Therefore, there are a lot of things that one must consider before purchasing plastic injection molding equipment like Ejector Stroke, Tie Bar Spacing, Shot Size, Tonnage, and Platen Size. ●Shot Size The shot size is referred to as the maximum amount of plastic that the injection molding machine can inject into the molding cavities during one molding cycle. The amount is marked and rated in ounces of “general-purpose polystyrene” (GPPS) for the U.S machines, and for European and Asian machines, it is cm3. While looking for plastic injection molding machines, it is always considered best to look for machines that can produce 30-40% greater shot sizes than what your parts actually require. ●Tonnage

  2. Here it means “clamping pressure or the clamp tonnage.” This can be considered very similar to that when you experience the press brakes. With the help of press brakes, the tonnage capabilities are measured by how many tons of downforce the machine is designed to direct it towards the workpiece. Whereas, with the plastic injection molding machines, the tonnage is measured by how many tons the molding machine is capable of pressing the platens together, which holds the mold cavity and thereafter forms the plastic injected into the cavity to produce the desired plastic parts. ●Platen Size The platen is referred to as the tool or the table that holds the mold cavity. Spaced apart, the molds are inserted and clamped securely to the platens. Once the platens come together and are held together under the pressure of tonnage, the plastic gets heated, injected under pressure, and then it is left to cool down through the molding cooling cycle. Now the molded plastic gets hardened once it starts cooling. Finally, it starts taking the final shape while continuing to be kept in place with tons of pressure on it to retain the desired shape. ●Tie Bar Spacing There are holes in the platens that allow the pins to pass through them while ejecting the molds. The tie Bar Spacing is referred to the space between the horizontal tie bars on an injection molding machine. Usually, this measurement and the maximum plan spacing determine the maximum size possible of the molds that can be kept into the molding machine for the process. ●Ejector Stroke The Ejector stroke refers to the action of the plastics injection molding machine pushing out or ejecting the finalised workpiece out of the platens with the help of the ejector pins. The ejector in the molding machine is designed to push against the ejector plates on the mold. The ejector pins or rods are attached to the plates of the machine and thereafter perform the pushing function on the molded part once the plastic hardens and the molds are opened. Once the molding process of the work[pies are finished, the molds automatically open. Then, the ejector pins slowly start extending towards or pushing the final plastic parts out of the mold cavity. The movement of the pin is timed with the opening of the mold because the pins are designed to move too quickly that they could impact the plastic workpiece and thus damage the final output, and the pins that move too slowly might not be able to eject the molded part fully.
