  1. Why I Am Unable To Connect To Linksys Router? A Linksys router has a built-in web-based setup utility that helps customize your network settings. If you are unable to connect to Linksys router, carry out the steps below. Reasons For The Problem Improper cable connections Incorrect router’s IP address Incorrect router’s username and password Web browser issue Defective router Step 1 - Router Connection Wired Connection Check if you have properly connected the Ethernet cable between the rear port of your modem and the WAN port of your Linksys router. Also, the connection between the router and your computer using the Ethernet cable must be secure. Note: If the Ethernet cable is damaged, replace it with a new one. Wireless Connection Make sure the Ethernet cable properly connected between your modem and the router.

  2. Also, make sure you have established the wireless connection between the router and your computer using the correct network information (network name and network key). Step 2 - Router LED Check if the Internet LED on the router stays lit after establishing the connection.
