  1. ESET Antivirus Error Codes ESET Endpoint Antivirus is a tool that is used to defend the computer from malware, adware, and viruses. Some errors may be displayed during the installation or launch of the software. These error messages will contain the letter string ACT, ECP, etc., followed by a number. The guidelines that are mentioned in the following topics will help you troubleshoot these ESET error codes and clear them. SET Security Error Code 2753 The ESET Antivirus error 2753 appears when you try installing an update for the Eset Antivirus. The error message reads Error 2753 followed by a line that says shellExt.dll is not marked for installation. This error code is caused by an older version of Eset which is being installed at the same time when the upgrade process is attempted. It could be caused by incorrect configuration of Group Policy Objects. The reason for this is the AppMgmt service, which executes the installation of the older version of Eset. The issue is with the incorrect policy which allows the older version to be installed and at the same time, miss the detection of the upgrade. The solution to fix the error code 2753 is as follows. Download the ESET Installation Fixer from the official Support site of the manufacturer after checking whether your computer supports 32-bit or 64-bit program. Run the ESET Installation fixer and key in the command which is given below without quotes. ‘C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\ESETInstallationFixer_64.exe - fix MRL -b’ Typing this command makes the program check for an older version of ESET products that do not match the installed new version. Those entries from the Windows Installer Registry are deleted. The locations from which they are deleted are given below. ‘HKCR\Installer\UpgradeCodes’ and ‘HKCR\Installer\Products.’

  2. Now, try updating the Eset endpoint antivirus. The ESET error codes message should be cleared, and the update should install without any issues. ESET Antivirus Error Code 2503 The ESET Security Error code 2503 appears when you try installing Eset Antivirus on your computer. This is caused by an incorrectly configured permission setting on the Windows computer. Go to the C drive and open the Windows folder. Left-click the TEMP folder to select it. Right-click it to view the folder’s corresponding dialog box. Click the Security tab. Choose Advanced and then select Change Permissions. Now, click Add, type the word ‘Authenticated’ without quotes, and click the Check names option. Select OK and then click the checkboxes beside the permissions that are required. The permission checkbox that needs to be ticked is Full Control. After selecting the recommended permission checkbox, click OK on the dialog box. Close the dialog box. Now, try installing Eset Antivirus on the computer. The error code 2503 should be cleared, and the program should be installed without any ESET error codes. The other easier way to fix this issue is to open the Task Manager(Press CTRL+Shift+Del). Then click Task Manager. Navigate to Processes, choose the Eset process, and click End Task. Log in to the computer with administrator privileges and then try running the Eset Antivirus installation.
