However, some routers are supported by Comcast. Disconnect the power supply from the router and wait for at least 20-30 seconds before plugging the router back into the power source. Method 1: Test The Internet Connection This method is quite simple. If you are using a wireless router, take an Ethernet cable and connect one end of the cable to the computer and the other end to the wireless router. Restart the computer and try to access the router configuration page. You can easily check if the internet connection is working using a wired interface. If you find out the wired connection has failed, you can contact your Internet service provider for further assistance. The internet connection issue can be resolved only by your ISP.
