What adds vivacity to the grand exit in a wedding? Of course, the sparklers. For any celebration, getting hands over the sparklers or fireworks at first has become a very common practice. Beyond parties and weddings, ‘the colorful’ sparklers have so much that you need to know right now!

  3. Sparklers were invented out of a Mistake A Chinese cook is credited to unintentionally produce the fireworks, back in the 7th century. It was when he mixed charcoal, Sulphur, and Potassium Nitrate. This batter was compressed into a bamboo tree and it exploded. After it was properly produced, it is said that the Chinese used them to scare the large mountain men, and some say that they were used to scare evil spirits. Currently, China has the biggest market for Fireworks and sparklers. It is the biggest exporter and manufacturer of fireworks. Italy Added The Colors Though China first invented the fireworks, it was Italy that made them colorful and invented the aerial shells. The Italians found that the specific colors can be created with metallic powders. The calcium produces orange, sodium produces yellow, and barium produces green. Initially, the fireworks came in only two colors, orange, and white. Later, more slats were added for more colorful sparkles.

  4. The Sparklers Are Unsafe Firstly, the temperature of the sparklers can go up to 2000°C. Which is extremely high, anything coming in contact with it can be burnt easily. When three sparklers are burnt together their heat equals the blowtorch. Secondly, they remain hot for a long period, even after they have gone off. Make sure that you use gloves to an extension to move them away. Touching them with naked hands can burn off your skin. Thirdly, and most importantly, the sparklers are made of poisonous material. The toxic ingredients include gun powder, nitric oxide, carbon dioxide, ozone, and other heavy metals. Also, the chemicals releasing out of the sparklers while exploding are very harmful to the human body. Perchlorate, for example, is one of the harmful chemicals that can cause goiter and thyroid cancer. It also releases radioactive carcinogens which are which can cause anxiety, kidney, and heart diseases.

  5. It is only humans who get fascinated and struck at the fireworks, animals hate them. Fireworks generate fear and stress in animals.
