AfterreadingTimFerriss’The4-HourWorkweek,Mikeldiscoveredtheconceptofvirtual assistantsand saw a solution to his time crunch. I hadan idea and I made woodendiving boards and I said,okay, let’strytomakesomethingfromthis.” “Andsince I was working atthe Flemish government at that moment,I didn’t have like eighthoursaday tospendonthe newproject.Iread thebookfromTimothy Ferris, whichmustbeaclassicforyoubecauseeverybodyreferencestoTimothyFerris.And thenI gotthis organization inmy mind,like saying, “Ineed togo online, Ineed to havea website, I need to have some administration and allthis.” “Iheard about virtualassistants and then Ichecked, not onlyyou, I checked others.I don’tknow the othernames again,but you havesome competition. Andfinally, I ended withyou. So you had a good plan. I think at that moment itwas something like an eighthours plan, a week and all this. And yeah, we had a match. So 2013, trying to solvemy problemof nothavingthe timeand tryingto getmy Friday,but thatdidn’t workand I didn’tgetmyFridaythough.” Sunder(GetFriday): But I guess we helped you on a lot moreother things. This usually happens.It’salwaysabout,wethinkit’salwaysabouthavingagood work-lifebalance, but eventually it turns out that we help people do much more, but for the work-life balance. Mikel:Yeah, indeed.Webecomemoreefficient,buttheworkloadsbecauseweloveit.I think the people that you work with are people that love to work. And so, yeah, we don’t count our days.
