  1. Why Hybrid Work Place can be the Best Option for Working Parents? In the post-pandemic era when vaccines are rolled out and employers are looking for ways to get their employees returning to the office, Hybrid Work Place seems to be the future model. A Hybrid workplace basically is an option where the employees get to choose when and where they perform their office work. Most of the large corporate houses have already considered hybrid work culture as the future of work in order to let their employees have more flexibility. This is in turn will surely improve job satisfaction of the employees, especially the working parents as they will have the freedom to spilt work time between office desks and remote locations. While the pandemic provided working parents an opportunity to work from home, most of them would like to continue with it as they feel that they did their job as good as pre-pandemic times and, that they did better in their personal life. For decades working parents especially working moms have been desiring greater flexibility to balance better professional and personal responsibilities. Ultimately, a global pandemic forced employers to give this flexibility to them while challenging the age-old notions of achieving productivity with remote work. Almost more than a year, employers now seem to be considering that productivity can be achieved by enhancing flexibility to their employees through Hybrid Models. This provides the working parent a chance to take time off from the hectic work commutes, stress caused by juggling between office, home, and personal care. Many employees reported that they had less stressed partners with WFH as an option. Employees also listed better personal life, more time for personal care, and quality family time as some of the best advantages of remote work. Looking at the other side of the story a part of employees felt that they would like to work from the office as they missed the social element viz-coffee breaks, lunch chats with colleagues, face-to-face conversations and discussions, networking in person during completely working

Of course, taking this model as a long-term work culture term will require organizations to develop strong digital infrastructure, remote work policies, training, and adaptation to the virtual world of work. While the best trends are still in the emerging phase, it has become more evident for employers to prudently evaluate and continue to frame policies and programs that promote employee well-being. During the pandemic, organizations took great initiative and efforts to take care of the physical as well as mental health of their employees, family care, maintain social connections and collaboration. Now is the time to continue and scale up these initiatives to end up in a win-win situation. Employers who are visionary have begun their initiatives on capturing value after facing the Covid-19 era and position themselves strongly in a post-Covid-19 era with a strong foundation for future sustainability. With massive vaccination drives in the post-pandemic times, the experiments with a hybrid work model are going to stay. Though the organizations will have to work out the real challenges like huge investments in digital infrastructure and employee well-being programs, they will also reap benefits like reduced land and building costs, lean staff, with minimal operational cost, better job satisfaction and engagement finally leading to a future winning work culture and policies.
