The GPS coordinate plotting has also gained more functionality that is only available on devices running Windows Mobile 5.0 or higher

The Low Performance GPS (LPGPS) functionality remains unchanged

LPGPS functionality is included in the basic package and has an accuracy to within 10 - 15 meters

The only extra needed is a Bluetooth receiver to connect to the GPS satellites

smart phone23
Smart Phone

For High Performance GPS (HPGPS), SDReaderCE utilizes the Trimble system

The Trimble receiver and libraries can receive and calculate meter points with real time sub-meter accuracy

With post processing, the plotted points will be accurate to within 4 inches

This accuracy is achieved by a combination of multiple satellite technology and advanced algorithms that calculate the satellite information that is received

The receiver (pictured below to the right) is powered by a replaceable, rechargeable battery that lasts a whole day on a full charge

As with the LPGPS, the points are plotted on a map custom made by SDI
