    3. MATERIAL AND METHODS Epidemiological data and a complete general ophthalmic examination Corneal Topography and keratometry Pachymetry at the site of relaxing incision to be performed. The patients were assigned to five groups - Group I : >4 D - Group II : 3-4 D - Group III : 2-3 D - Group IV : 1-2 D - Group V : <1 D

    4. EXCLUSION CRITERIA Complicated pseudophakia Irregular corneal astigmatism, Keratoconus or keratoconus suspects Current uveitis and Glaucoma Pannus, pterygium and marked corneal scarring Any posterior segment pathology Follow up less than 3 month

    5. GILL’S NOMOGRAM

    6. OBSERVATION AND RESULTS

    7. POST LRI ( at 3 Months) CHANGES IN ASTIGMATISM AT DIFFERENT TIME INTERVALS

    8. COMPARISON OF UCVA AND BSCVA (PRE AND POST LRI)

    9. IMPROVEMENT IN VISUAL ACUITY LINES AFTER LRI

    10. LIMBAL RELAXING INCISION Relatively simple procedure to perform Intraoperatively and postoperatively coupling effect is 1:1 - no adjustments in IOL power calculation Lesser tendency to induce irregular astigmatism less postoperative glare and patient discomfort fastest healing preserves the original optical quality of the cornea - being a limbal procedure Cost effective
