  2. Roosevelt • Franklin D. Roosevelt was bornin 1882 at Hyde Park, New York. He was the 32 president of the United States. • He was elected president in November 1932

  3. Churchill • Winston Churchill was bornin Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, on 30th November, 1874. • On the outbreak of the Second World War Churchill was appointed First Lord of the Admiralty and on 4th April 1940 became chairman of the Military Coordinating Committee.

  6. Where their Speeches Important? Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt’s speeches were very important in getting themselves into office for their respective positions, but also inspiring their nations to defeat the axis, and preserve peace in the World.

Americans also Idolized Churchill, he was a hero to many American and British children. Both men had an outstanding leadership ability, and are still to this day recognized as two of the worlds greatest war hero’s.

  8. Polio From the age of 39, Franklin Roosevelt suffered from Polio. He had extreme difficulty walking. He was a very proud man, and didn’t wasn’t to give the appearance of weakness, so when he would give speeches, they would have braces on the podium so he could stand. There is roumerd to be only two photographs of Roosevelt in his wheelchair…this is one of them.

  9. Roosevelt died of a cerebral hemorrhage while on retreat at Warm Springs, Georgia on April 12, 1945. On Sunday, January 24, 1965 at the age on 90, and on the seventieth anniversary of the death of his father, Sir Winston died at his home at 28 Hyde Park Gate in London.
