History of the project l.jpg
History of the Project

  • Rotary district 6510 took on in 1977.

  • Over 215 children, some with multiple operations, have been helped to attain a happier and more productive life since that time.

How it works l.jpg
How It Works…

  • Dr. Jack Sheridan, orthopedic surgeon from Shriner’s Hospital in St. Louis, donates his time to conduct free clinics to identify children who can be helped.

  • Rotary pays their transportation to Illinois.

  • Host families provide free room and board and transportation to & from the hospital.

  • Surgeons at Shriner’s perform the needed treatment.

  • Children stay until appropriate follow-up is done.
