Types of Registration for Local Nationals • Sole Proprietorship • The owner needs to be a Singapore resident and if foreigner then he can appoint a local Manger. • General Partnership Company • Owned by a minimum of two and a maximum of 20 partners at least one has to be a local person. It is not legally separate from the owners and hence the owners are liable to make good any loss that the company suffers. • Limited Liability Partnership Company • Should have minimum of two partners, one has to be a local resident. There is no limit for maximum number of partners. • Private Company • It has separate legal status from its owners and has a perpetual existence. It can sue or be sued in its own name. Company Registration for Foreign National – With or without relocation • Foreign Nationals who are ready to relocate to Singapore have to obtain one of the two passes: • Singapore Employment Pass • Singapore Entrepreneur Pass • Foreign National without relocation to Singapore.
