Building connections with students, professors, and professionals from different countries can lead to collaborative research projects, internships, and academic exchanges.  These connections often extend beyond the duration of the study abroad program and can contribute to future academic and professional opportunities. Networking with a diverse group of individuals can also lead to a richer understanding of global academic trends and practices.
