You Beauty's Ultimate choice It's that time of year again :You Beauty's ultimate round-up of the absolute most popular Beauty products of the year. Kelly McCullen and Leigh Campbell both chose three 'consumer' and 'savvy' options, so only recommend the best! "I decided to recommend something THAT I just discovered this year," Kelly said on the podcast. "I chose products that weren't necessarily the most exciting to me, but consistently impressed me." Leigh said, "Mine is this year too. I asked myself, "What have I been looking for?" That's my standard, what would I personally spend my money on?" Without further ado, let's get started! Kelly and Leigh's Spendy. Ferulic extract :30ml, $228 I recommend this skin care essence. "Yes, it smells like ham and costs over $200, but it's a beautiful, high-quality vitamin C serum," Leigh said on You Beauty. "It's been around for years, and I started it again this year!" I did buy them with my own money, especially when Adore Beauty had a sale. Not all vitamin C products are created equal, and this one stands out." Apply it on fresh skin in the morning, followed by a gel moisturizer and some SPF. Vida Glow Ocean Collagen, $70 Leigh also recommends some collagen for internal beauty benefits, especially Vida Glow Ocean Collagen. "You can get 30 packs for $70, and I do buy in bulk. I bought six boxes when there was a sale earlier this year. I eat either pineapple or peach, and to be honest, it makes a big difference to my hair, skin and nails." Kelly recommends this miracle moisturizer, which she says she's been using all year. "Instead of vitamin C serum, I use it every day. It glows when I do it! It's thick, but the makeup works well. I usually don't like thick creams during the day, but this is a very impressive product, "Kelly said. Leigh is a fan of eyebrows, so it makes sense that she would recommend a great eyebrow pencil. It's by Anastasia Beverly Hills, and it's a favorite of many. I like that the nib is very thin, which means you can apply it gently on your eyebrows: it works great. The collection also featured
some gray-brown tones, which I've always liked." Lip products can be a bit of a minefield because there are so many on the market. But this one made a big impression on Kelly. "I chose it because every time I wear it, I'm always impressed by its longevity and the fact that it doesn't dry out. I get a lot of compliments whenever I wear it, and it's a universal color: a true red for anyone, "she said. MCoBeauty UltraStay Flawless Foundation, $28 When it comes to makeup, Leigh recommends buying MCo Beauty's cheap foundation. "I wore it on a shoot for the brand, wore it straight to lunch after the shoot and everyone complimented my skin and raved about it. In between this foundation and another foundation, I don't currently use any other foundation products, "Leigh said. This is a high coverage and relatively matte/velvet foundation that lasts all day. MCoBeauty XtendLash Mascara, $24 To keep up with the beauty world, Kelly also suggests trying XtendLash mascara. "This year I finally tried, and I haven't looked back. For the price, it's definitely my day mascara of choice. It doesn't fit anywhere, especially in wet conditions. Plus, you rarely pay full price because it's often on sale!" Leigh also has a mascara on her recommended list, opting for Loungeface mascara. The brand was founded by Australian beauty YouTuber and content creator Lauren Curtis. "Even though it's $37, I put it on my saveys list because you're getting your money's worth. It's such a quality recipe and it's beautiful to use. It's still tubular, which IS what I like."
