  3. There Are Many Great Ski Resorts In This Area That Are Just A Day Trip Away From Major Cities Like Portland And Seattle. • Mt. Bachelor is a very popular ski area located in bend, Oregon. It is widely considered to be one of the best ski resorts in Oregon, and there are plenty of runs to keep you skiing all day, regardless of your ability level. Jeffrey Sofich

  4. For those living a little farther north, whistler blackcomb in british columbia is renowned throughout the world for its’ skiing. The snow is consistently good each season, and the staff consistently exceeds expectations as well. Jeffrey Sofich

  5. Sun valley, idaho is a very popular ski resort with people across the united states. It is a ten-hour drive from portland, but the views alone are completely worth the trek. The town of sun valley also has plenty to do, including great food and shopping. Jeffrey Sofich

  6. For a quick drive from seattle, avid skiers can check out mount baker. While it doesn’t have the appeal of being a resort town, it consistently gets large amounts of snow each year, and the terrain is exciting and challenging. Jeffrey Sofich
