The Westing Game

The Westing Game is a mystery novel in which 16 people who live in the Sunset Towers apartment building are named as heirs to the fortune of the eccentric millionaire Sam Westing. They are brought together for the reading of his will, which reveals he was murdered and tasks the heirs with solving the crime to inherit his $200 million. The heirs are divided into eight pairs to decipher clues and compete to find the murderer, leading to a series of unexpected twists and turns. Ultimately, the puzzle is solved by Turtle Wexler, who discovers that Sam Westing faked his own death and was secretly living among them the entire time.
