  1. How is e-mail marketing different from others? While social media and other rather new marketing channels are all the hype in the recent times, some good old email marketing service is still not a bad idea. In fact, it’s a great idea for multiple reasons. Here we will be listing those reasons and also will be comparing it side by side with other marketing channels be it traditional or new. This is just to refresh all the reasons as to why you must hang on to the old school e-mail marketing even when all these new marketing methods are getting all the hype. 1. You grab more attention While some boring scroller scrolls through their newsfeed/Instagram feed aimlessly, chances are that even your most creative content will get overlooked because of all the other similar brands’ posts crowding it out. Email is at least 4 times more effective in reaching out to your audience than Facebook and Twitter. Hence, there are more chances of your promotional offer being actually noticed than it is with other social media channels.

  2. 2 . T r i a l a n d e r r o r Testing out what works best for your marketing mix is the key to any successful marketing campaign in the first place. E-mail lists are very useful in that aspect. This is because you can extract each and every point of information related to the subscriber to see the extent of engagement they are putting in. Things like whether they opened the e-mail or not, and if yes then did they click on any links. And which specific link did they click on. This way you can not only extract the effectiveness of your content but analyze a million more points like which e-mail was more popular. Which link was more popular? This way, you can customize your next campaign according to the most popular trend that your data shows. 3 . S e g me n t me s s a g e s Segmentation is key to any type of marketing’s success. You have more information about subscriber’s earlier actions. Information about what emails they open and what links they click enables you to use that behavior to automatically segment subscribers.

  3. This way, you can slice and dice your e-mail subscriber’s list any way you want. You can take this a step further by taking the demographics from Facebook and matching them to the entries in your mailing list. This is something you cannot do with other channels be it any. 4 . P e r s o n a l i z a t i o n This is a very important thing to incorporate in all of your emails if you want to attract your recipients and not look like just another useless spam e-mail in their inbox. While this could be done on almost all the platforms, email is the best channel for getting the most use out of it. There are many different ways to personalize your e-mail. The best way to do it is to first start using subscriber’s names instead of generalizing the way you address them in every e-mail. Another way is to use personalized coupon codes and discount offers. This is an amazing way to increase the ROI. These were our two cents on how email marketing is different (and better) than many other marketing channels. However, we are in no way discouraging the use of other channels or them being a priority. We are only encouraging advertising through e-mail marketing more because if done right, it can do wonders for your business. Hope this article helped.
