TEMPTATIONS • Jesus did not pray they would not be tempted; that they be guarded • Temptation of division, Jno 17:11 • Dispute erupted, Lk 22:24-27 • Washed feet, Jno 13:4-5, 15 • Temptation of the world, Jno 17:14 (15:18-20) • To conform when persecuted Keep the Apostles from the Evil One (Jno 17:15)

  8. KEEP THEM(Jno 17:15) • Not in the sense of never being tempted, else it denies our common temptations, 1 Cor 10:13 • Protection and deliverance when we are tempted, 2 Pet 2:9 • With a right heart, Psa 141:4 • Righteous ones, Psa 34:15-19 Lead us not into temptation Matt 6:13

  12. REMEMBER • God does not give up on us, Lk 22:32; Jno 21:19 • Seeks the lost, Luke 15:1-7 • Delivered from sin when you repent, Acts 8:18-22 • God will forgive you of every sin when you repent, 1 Tim 1:15-16 • Hope and joy, Jno 17:13 (15:11); Psa 51:12 Temptation and Sin
