Ethiopian Opal in Full Spectrum: A Painting by Nature

Ethiopian opals are natural wonders, with vivid color patterns that seem to have been hand-painted by the soil. The remarkable interior colors of these opals, which are primarily from the Welo region, range from cold greens and electric blues to flaming reds and glowing oranges. Ethiopian opals are hydrophane, or water-absorbing, in contrast to other opals, which can momentarily change their transparency and increase their brilliance. Each piece is unique due to the stone's kaleidoscopic patterns, which stand for imagination, spontaneity, and emotional release.
