  1. Printer Installation Process Printer Installation Process Step 1 Add paper to the tray of the printer after installing the cartridges. Step 2 Install the printer drivers by inserting the installation CD and running the printer set up application (usually "setup.exe"). Step 3 Turn on your printer once it is connected to the PC using a USB cable. Step 4 For PCs, go to Start > "Printers and Faxes". For Vista and Windows 7, hit the Windows key + "printers" into the search box. Step 5 For Macs, select System Preferences > "Print & Fax". Step 6 Step 6 You can print a test page.
