  4. Cloud Computing • In general term, Cloud computing refers to the delivery of hosted services over the internet. • Cloud Computing is the process of manipulating, configuring, and accessing the hardware and software resources remotely.

  5. Models for Cloud Computing There are two models of cloud computing:- • Deployment Models • Service Models

  6. Cloud computing Deployment Models There are four types of cloud computing deployment models include: • Public Cloud, • Private Cloud, • Community Cloud and, • Hybrid Cloud.

  7. Public Cloud • Public clouds are owned and operated by companies. • Users don’t need to purchase hardware, software or supporting infrastructure, all of which is owned and managed by providers. • Less secure because of its openness.

  8. Private Cloud • Private cloud involves a distinct and secure cloud based environment in which only the specified client can operate. • This model is dedicated to the needs and goals of a single organization. • Private clouds referred to as enterprise clouds. • It is more secured.

  9. Community Cloud • Community cloud provides a solution to a limited number of individuals or organizations that is governed, managed and secured by all the participating organizations or third party managed service provider.

  10. Hybrid Cloud • The hybrid cloud is a combination of both public and private cloud. • Hybrid cloud allows companies to keep sensitive data within traditional data center environment or private cloud.

  11. Service Models Service Models categorized into three models: • Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) • Platform as a Service (PaaS) • Software as a Service (SaaS)
