Make sure that there are no naturally occurring tangles due to wind or friction and brush them before bed 2. When hair is wet the follicles are the most vulnerable stage. Therefore do not brush them when the hair is wet. 3. Organic and sulphate free shampoo strip out the natural oils and cut the direct supply of nutrients from your scalp to the extension strands. Therefore it is vital that your use non- sulphate shampoo. 4. Wash only with warm water, to avoid damaging the hair extensions. 5. If you scrub or bunch the hair together, the open cuticles will rub against each other causing friction. Therefore it is essential to wash your hair is a gentle downward motion with your palms. 6. Wash only 1-2 times and rinse between the wash 7. Apply almond or coconut oil evenly over the hair, when it is wet. This will penetrate the cuticles and add moisture to the hair extensions.
