  1. WOOD PRIMER Wood Coating INDICUS WOOD PRIMER is a solvent-based protective coating for wooden surfaces. It fills wood grains, blocks absorption of moisture and provides a sound base for topcoats. For wooden surfaces Solvent based For interior & exterior use Areas of Application INDICUS WOOD PRIMER can be used: on wooden surfaces in both interior and exterior areas Features Superior wood penetration E xcellent intercoat adhesion G ood flow & levelling E nhances life of topcoat Working Properties Matt Finish White Shade Technical Properties Brush, roller or spray Method of Application Alkyd Surface dry : < 1 hour Tack free Vehicle Type * Drying Time at 25°C : < 3 hours 1.25 ± 0.1 Specific Gravity * 6-8 hours Drying Time To Recoat Flash Point (IS101/1987 Part 1, Sec 6) > 30°C Dilution with Mineral Turpentine Oil (MTO) Ratio of Dilution Up to 10%, if required 40-60 microns Recommended Thickness * Coverage 130 sq.ft./L/coat at 40 DFT. 24 hours Stability of Thinned Primer Flammable Fire Hazard Class Drying time and coverage will vary depending upon the surface & climatic condition, degree of dilution and method of application. * Precautions This product is flammable. Avoid extreme temperature. Use only in well ventilated areas. Vapours may cause drowsiness and dizziness. In case of contact with eyes or skin, wash with water and seek medical advice. Keep out of reach of children and away from any combustible materials, food, drinks, etc. Application Procedure 1. Ensure the surface is free from dirt, dust, moisture, adhesion inhibiting compounds like grease, wax, etc. and any loose particles. Sand with emery paper and wipe clean. Apply one coat of primer and allow it to dry for 6 to 8 hours. If needed, use solvent-based putty to fill cracks and dents to make the surface uniform. After sanding the puttied surface, apply another coat of primer and allow it to dry overnight. Before application of topcoat, lightly sand the surface with emery paper and wipe clean. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
