Reliability Evaluation of Professional Assessments

The premise of the paper is that when a person considers the use of a professional assessment result as a basis for a decision (or judgment), they do not want to be a victim of a decision gone wrong. To do so, there should be careful consideration and specification of the scope of services for the study before it is commissioned, and of whether after the fact the reliability of the recommendations is likely to be sufficiently reliable to be actionable.
