  1. IVF DOCTORS IN OMAN HELP MAKE YOU UNDERSTAND FIBROIDS AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH INFERTILITY. Top IVF Doctor at IVI, Dr. Upma Pathak Shanker helps shed some light on fibroids in women. She is an IVF Specialist at Fertility Clinic - Muscat, explained that big fibroids indenting and growing into the endometrial lining lead to       conception difficulties. “If a fibroid is small, it usually stays dormant and does not need removal.Only the symptomatic fibroids need to be surgically removed, as they can rarely cause miscarriage or even implantation failure,” said Dr. Shanker.

  2. As fibroids are mainly related to genetic factors, there are no specific lifestyle that may prevent them from developing. Dr. Shanker conceded that “In most cases, it is a predisposition of an individual to have fibroids.” For Dr. Francisco Ruiz, Medical Director at IVI Fertility Clinic-Muscat, although there are no specific strategies that will prevent completely the appearance     of fibroids, some general measures have been found to potentially reduce the risk of having them. “Lack of physical activity, stress, diet, smoking, alcohol, and caffeine consumption seem to be involved in certain mechanisms related to fibroid development and growth. Exercise may be protective, as well as a good amount of vegetables and fruits in the diet. Avoiding animal fats and red meats may also reduce the risk. Reducing or quitting smoking may have protective effects, as well as cutting down on the consumption of caffeine,” Dr. Francisco said. To anticipate future fertility problems, experts highly recommend to couples to consider undergoing tests even before they get married. “This is highly recommended because both male and female-related incidences of infertility are now widespread in the Middle East. Furthermore, if you are already aware of any genetic disease in your family, or you are going to marry your cousin, IVI RMA has a test available for genetic compatibility - the Carrier Genetic Test (CGT), which helps determine and even avoid the risk of having a child with a genetic disease,” Dr. Shanker said. Treatments like CGT, PGS and PGD in Oman are available at IVI Muscat that has been successful in achieving over 100 pregnancies in just a year. Read More: IVF hospital Dubai
