  1. MECHANOCHEMICAL ENDOVENOUS ABLATION

  2. WHAT IS MECHANOCHEMICAL ENDOVENOUS ABLATION Mechanochemical Endovenous Ablation (MOCA) is a minimally invasive treatment used to close unhealthy or varicose veins, especially the great saphenous vein (GSV) and other superficial veins. It is an alternative to laser ablation (EVLA) and radiofrequency ablation (RFA), but works without heat, which means no tumescent anesthesia and less discomfort.

  3. SYMPTOMS OF VARICOSE Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins that usually appear on the legs due to poor blood flow. They can cause symptoms like leg pain, heaviness, swelling, itching, and visible bulging veins. VEINS

  4. WHAT CAUSES VARICOSE VEINS? Varicose veins are caused by weak or damaged valves inside the veins. These valves normally help blood flow upward toward the heart. When they stop working properly, blood starts to pool in the veins, increasing pressure and making the veins enlarge, twist, and bulge. Over time, this increased pressure leads to varicose veins and their related symptoms.

  5. HOW MOCA WORKS 1. Mechanical Action A tiny rotating wire inside the catheter spins rapidly. ✔ Irritates the vein wall 2. Chemical Action At the same time, a liquid sclerosant (medicine that closes veins) is delivered. ✔ Seals the vein shut

  6. VARICOSE VEINS TREATMENT: BEFORE AND AFTER RESULTS Before Treatment: Varicose vein disease can cause disruption to the lifestyle. The varicose vein patients have multiple problems before treatment. Patients have swollen and dilated veins. After Treatment: Varicose vein disease can be treated using laser treatment for varicose veins or radiofrequency ablation varicose veins. Patients receive good relief from symptoms after treatment.

  7. BENEFITS OF MECHANOCHEMICAL ENDOVENOUS ABLATION Mechanochemical Endovenous Ablation (MOCA) offers the benefit of treating varicose veins without heat, making the procedure gentler and less painful. It requires no tumescent anesthesia, resulting in fewer needle pricks and minimal discomfort. Because MOCA combines a rotating wire with a sclerosant, it effectively closes diseased veins with less bruising, faster recovery, and a lower risk of nerve injury compared to thermal treatments.
