  1. Varicocele Embolization

  2. What is Varicocele Embolization? Varicocele Embolization is a minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment used to treat varicoceles—enlarged veins within the scrotum that can cause pain, swelling, or fertility issues.

  3. How the Procedure Works • A tiny catheter is inserted through a small puncture—usually in the groin or neck. • Using X-ray imaging, the catheter is guided to the affected testicular vein. • The doctor then blocks the faulty vein using coils or a medical-grade embolic agent, stopping the backward blood flow. • Blood is naturally redirected through healthy veins.

  4. Benefits of Varicocele Embolization • No surgical cuts and minimal discomfort • Quick recovery—often back to normal activities within 24–48 hours • Effective relief from pain and swelling • Helps improve sperm count and fertility in many patients • Lower recurrence rates compared to traditional surgery in some cases

  5. Who Should Consider It? • Persistent testicular pain • Infertility related to varicocele • Visible or symptomatic scrotal swelling
