  1. Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT – Who Has the Edge? Nvidia and AMD are two big players in the world of GPU. While AMD released the latest graphic card in December 2021, Nvidia unveiled its latest item in CES 2022. Here we will compare the two cards’ specifications to see which one is better at the hardware level. Specifications The AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT is built on the RDNA architecture, which the company also uses for its RX 6800 and 6800XT graphic cards. The Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti is built on the Nvidia Ampere architecture using the 8nm manufacturing process that allows more transistors. This results in better process efficiency and performance per watt than any other tracing card. The AMD lacks in certain areas as it uses the GDRR6 VRAM instead of the latest and more expensive GDRR6X found in the Nvidia card. When comparing the specifications between AMD and Nvidia, it is essential to mention that AMD 6900 XT does not have the tensor core as it has customized technology, unlike the Nvidia for powering DLSS tech. The objective of DLSS is to improve gaming performance as it allows the GPU to predict which frames are coming up and accordingly scale up the event. AMD does not have its own technology to compete with Nvidia but may launch sometime next year.
