  1. Better late than never: Career Better late than never: Career counselling after 10th standard counselling after 10th standard What is the right time to start career counselling? The question is very complex. If you start too early, students won't take their decisions seriously or change their minds later. There is also a chance that they will be overwhelmed and stressed. You start too late and your options are limited. We, therefore, suggest that students begin the career counselling process when they are in 8th or 9th grade – old enough to understand the impact and importance of a career decision, but early enough to explore their options. There is time to do it. Does it mean all channels will apply for career counselling after the 10th class closes? Once you choose the stream for classes 11th and 12th, that's it. You can't change your mind now? Of course, you can!

  2. Over the past decade, awareness of career counselling among students, their parents, and schools has increased tremendously. However, many students either wait for counselling after class 10th or decide without any notice while choosing their steam for class 11th and 12th. Whether a student has chosen the right or wrong stream after class 10, they still have a long way to go as they begin their career journey. So, yes - career counselling after class 10th is still important.
