There has been enormous research on what are the causes of intelligence development. It was found that the majority of the people believed that intelligence depends on heredity. But the research says that every child who is born has an equal potential intelligence and that is a hundred billion brain cells or neurons. Irrespective of the caste, financial status, and the biological area that parents stay, every child is born with hundred billion neurons.

1. What plays a key role in developing a child's intelligence? A. Heredity B. Surrounding environment C. Planned early brain development D. I don’t know There has been enormous research on what are the causes of intelligence development. More than heredity, what plays a major role in developing a child's intelligence is the surrounding environment. The kind of exposure that the child gets plays a very important role in developing the intelligence of the child. Researches have proved that a baby who grows in a good communicated environment has better vocabulary development than one who is exposed to fewer words from the surroundings. The kind of exposure that a newborn gets is directly related with the intelligence that the child develops in life. So as a parent, it is very important that we provide various kinds of exposure to the young babies in a way that is safe for them. Babies have a hungry brain and they always want to learn something every time. They learn an observational learning method wherein they take information through all senses, send it to the brain through the sensory nervous system and brain does some processing over it and sends the message to the muscles through the motor nervous system. The more these sensory and motor pathways are developed, the more it results in early brain development. With the growth in science and technology we are now able to understand that the newborn baby has a very hungry brain to learn. Their learning ability is 13 times more than we adults and when they get appropriate learning exposure, their brain develops in a way that they have more dendrite growth, more neural connections build up resulting in children being intelligent. To nurture a baby who has enormous hunger to learn, the exposure of the surrounding environment is not enough. To unleash their enormous inborn potential to become an intelligent person, planned early brain development is required. This planned exposure ensures that all areas of intellectual development are covered in a way that they are stimulated to have neuron growth resulting in overall brain development of the baby.
Every child is born with the potential of intelligence which is more than what Einstein or Leonardi Da Vinci ever used in their lifetime but unfortunately, there are enormous parents who are unaware of this early brain development of their newborn’s hungry brain and due to their ignorance they miss out exposing their child with planned early brain development. This results in life time loss for the young baby which can never be compensated with anything else at any point in the life. So for the young babies, it is said that the day you miss providing planned stimulation to the baby, you miss that day forever in life.
