  1. Ultimate Guide to Vrindavan: What to Eat, Drink, See, and Do! Vrindavan is a place where people come to find peace. Vrindavan's glories are hard to put into words but here are some great things, it is a place where you can come with your family, and friends and even on a solo trip. The exposure which you will have after visiting is for sure something you won't be able to forget. It is having the beauty and presence of Lord Krishna And Radha Raniji. It is famous for the numerous Lord Krishna temples, and the bubbly and festive environment. It is the land of Radha Krishna and has about 5500 temples dedicated to them to showcase their divine pastimes. So, Yes in this article we will get to know about the important pilgrimages of Vrindavan and more about Vrindavan. Vrindavan is also known as the "city of widows" due to the large number of widows who move into the town after losing their husbands. There are an estimated 20,000 widows. Let's take you on the little journey of Vrindavan through this article.

  2. The journey should start from the Vaishno Devi Temple, then the lotus temple and then Prem Mandir these are not one of the oldest temples but they are a must-visit. Sri Krishna-Balarama Temple was built by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). It is also the first-ever Iskcon temple in India. The energy of bhakts creates such a positive environment that it will enlighten your inner soul. Shri Bankey Bihari is also one of the oldest and most famous temples where thousands of people come for the Darshan. It is one of the prestigious temples. Near Bankey Bihari, there are many other temples which are old and distinguished in their own manner. Shri Radhabhallabh and Shri Radharamanji are two temples where the idol of Lord Krishna is so beautiful that people get lost in their eyes. There are various other temples near them which are Shri Radha Shyam Sundar, Shri Radha Damodar, Shri Radha Madan-Mohan Ji. In Radha shyam sundar i ln the month of Kartik, the idol of Lord Krishna and Radharani is seen in different avatars of the Shri Krishna.

  3. Shri Radha Damodar is famous for its parikrama it is said that the four Parikramas of Radha Damodar is equal to the one Parikrama of Goverdhan. Shri Radha Madan Mohan is 5000 years old temple where the deity of Radha and Lalita gopi are on either side of Lord Krishna. Tatiya Sthan is one of the oldest temples of Vrindavan dedicated to Sri Radharaniji here till now there is no use of electricity. It connects devotees with nature. There is a sense of purity in the atmosphere. After sunset Candles and Diyas are lit up instead of Bulbs. It was the meditation point of Lalit Kishori the seventh follower of Haridas Ji. The only temple in Vrindavan where there is no urbanization which makes this temple unique. Vrindavan is also a place full of Mysterious let's know why? Nidhivan and Sevakunj are two places where it is believed that Lord Krishna and Sri Radha Rani come every night and do Rasleela with Gopis, here the trees turned into Gopi. If anyone tries to seek the temple for Raas Leela they faces some serious issues such as loss of sight, hearing, speech, etc. At night it becomes no entry zone for devotees. In Nidhivan there is also a place known as Rang Mahal where every night Lord Krishna comes. All these temples are Located near Yamuna River. Kesi Ghat is one of the oldest Ghat at Yamuna River where Lord Krishna took bath after defeating the demon Keshi which was send by Kansa to kill Lord Krishna. Since then, Devotees come and take a dip on this ghat.

Apart from Krishna Radha temple there is temple of Lord shiva named Gopeshwar mahadev where in the morning lord shiva is in the avatar of male and in night he is in the avatar of female because it is said to be that he wants to be in the rasleela so radha rani took him in the avatar as gopi where Lord krishna recognised Lord Shiva and named him gopeshwar. There is also one of the shakti peeth Named Shri Katyayani Shakti Peeth dedicated to Maa Parvati it is made where Devi Sati's hair fallen. The another version says that it is the Yogmaya power of Lord Vishnu, whom he order to be born as the daughter of Nanda and Yashoda. Rangnath Temple of Vrindavan is located near Katyayni Shakti Peeth it is one of the Largest temple. It is dedicated to the Lord Sri Goda Ranagamannar. The Lord krishna is in the Avatar of groom with his bride Goda (Andal). The articheture has a glimpse of temples in South India. Do you know that in Vrindavan also there is Govind Dev Ji Temple which is about 400yrs old. It was constructed by Raja Man Singh in 1590. The building of this temple is pretty amazing.

  5. Timing of all the temples are different in summers and winters. In summers morning time is mostly from 8:00 am to 11:00 am and in evening its from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. In winters morning time is mostly from 9:00 am to 12:00 am and in evening its from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

  6. Best time to Visit Vrindavan is from September to March if one wants to avoid the heat of summers. Vrindavan Parikrama is about 10km and it can be completed in 2 to 3 hours. Rickshaw facility is also available for the devotees. Market & Foods to explore in Vrindavan In Vrindavan the best market for shopping purpose is Bihari ji market which is basically famous for shopping of Poshak of Thakurji and Attar perfurmes, Loi Bazar Market which is famous for shopping of devotional clothes, pooja articles, silver ornaments, poshak also and Tulsi malas on very reasonable prices and best for the person who wants to purchase in bulk, ISCKON temple market is also famous for devotional clothes shopping with a huge varieties.In These market facilities of import & export is also available.

  7. When you go somewhere it's must to have its famous and delicious dishes in their city . So you wanna know? So, let's have something tasty. Makhan Mishri is the favorite food of Krishnaji and the famous sweet of Mathura & Vrindavan. It is served like prasad in the Banke Bihari ji temple in Vrindavan. All the people who visit Vrindavan and Mathura consume it in a pure way. Rabri is also a famous food of Vrindavan. It is basically served in earthen pot. Most importantly Rabri and jalebi is a bond that can never be broken in braj. Vrindavan is equally famous for chats. Street foods such as Lassi, samosa, kachori, bedai, aaloo tikki, tikkiya (golgappey), Moong daal chilla, etc. Vrindavan is also famous for its varities of Sweet dishses such as Peda, Ghevar, Rasmalai, Khoya Barfi, Milk cake, Gajar Halwa, etc.

  8. The Lassi near Biharji Temple is very famous and has an delicious taste. There are many Chat corners, cafes, fast food corners near every temple where you can enjoy the local and authentic taste.
