  1. NOUN • A noun is a word that is used to identify or classify a person , place, object, animal , or idea . It is the subject of a verb. A noun can be singular or plural. FOR EXAMPLE :- john, factory, train, cat, kindness. • There are various types of noun: • PROPER NOUN • COMMON NOUN • ABSTRACT NOUN • CONCRETE NOUN • COUNTABLE NOUN • MATERIAL NOUN • COLLECTIVE NOUN • UNCOUNTABLE NOUN

TYPES OF NOUN  PROPER NOUN Proper are the name of specific people and place, name of the days of week and month, organization, etc.  William shakespare was a playwright.  Everyone dislikes Monday morning.  COMMON NOUN Common noun are the nouns that are used to denote a general category of people , place or things.  The boy went to play cricket.  This neighbourhood is one of the best in the area.  ABSTRACT NOUN Abstract noun are the name of thing we cannot perceive through our five senses of touching, smelling, seeing, hearing and tasting.  She screamed with great delight.  His bevary in the war won him a medal.

  3. An apple is placed on the dinning table  The jacket was made of leather.  COUNTABLE NOUN Nounthat can be counted more then one are named in his way . Gramatecally,a “ an,the” articals come just before this names.  HE is going to start a restaurant.  Chairs remain empty on the stage during a program.  MATERIAL NOUN Material noun is a substance a material or an ingredient we can see and touch which is used for making things .  I drink a glass of milk every morning.  SHEwore a gold chain around her neck.

COLLECTIVE NOUN A collective noun is a type of noun that expresses a name for a collection of a bunch of several people , objects, things, animals etc.  A class of students.  An army of ants.  A group of islands.  UNCOUNTABLE NOUN The nouns that cannot be counted , although we can measure or weight them, are called uncountable nouns.  A cup of coffee will refresh you  He filled the bottle with water.
