Furnace performance is directly related to the lining performance. Well-stabilized lining results in smooth working of the furnace, optimum output, and better metallurgical control. The lining practice best suited to a particular foundry will depend upon the furnace capacity and design, the metal being melted output, etc. Requirement of A Proper Lining Vibrator: Lawatherm emphasizes the importance of a proper lining characterized by thermal resilience, chemical compatibility with molten metal, structural integrity, erosion resistance, and optimal electrical ef?ciency. The lining should also be easy to install, repairable, and possess low thermal and electrical conductivity. Side Wall Lining Vibrator The former is positioned securely within the furnace, and a ramming mass is introduced between the former and the coil.
