  1. How to Remove Two-Wheeler Hypothecation from RC Book

  2. Why Should You Remove Hypothecation? • Unless you do, the two-wheeler won’t be yours. • It proves that you have repaid your two wheeler loan in full. • To get a fresh RC book in your name.

  3. Collect Necessary Documents • After fully repaying the loan, get NOC and Form 35 from lender. • Within 3 months of getting the NOC, submit it at the RTO. • Also submit Form 35, original RC book, and copy of PUC certificate.

  4. Apply For Removal Of Hypothecation • Apply for hypothecation removal at the RTO office by submitting the required documents and an application form. • Pay RTO hypothecation charges. • After the RTO office verifies the form and the documents, get the next visit date.

  5. Get the Form of Acceptance From the RTO • The form indicates hypothecation removal acceptance and covers vehicle details. • Check the form for accuracy and get any error corrected at the earliest.

  6. Collect the New RC Card After Paying a Fee • After checking the acceptance form, submit it with other documents (mentioned before) at another counter. • Pay the new RC card fee. • Collect a receipt featuring the date on which you will receive the new RC card.

  7. To Remove Hypothecation Online • Visit the Pariwahan Seva website and hover over the Online Services tab. • Once you spot the option called Vehicle Related Services, submit your state and RTO office information. • After entering Registration and Chassis number, submit an online application for hypothecation removal. • Removing hypothecation online can save you multiple trips to the RTO office, amidst the pandemic.
