Themorewegodeepintothistechnologicalfield,themoreitmakestheworldofAIdeep and influences everythingaboutit. Althoughithaspresenteditselfwithenormouscapabilities,thereareafewconcernsassociated withAIthatrequiregreatconsideration.BeingapersondeepinAItechnologysolutions,Ihada chancetowatchthepossibilitiesaswellaschallengesheldbythenewtechnology. Today,I,MohammadSAAAlothman,intendtotell,basedonwhatIbelieveisthemost disconcertingphenomenonwithAI,whythismattermustbeofgreatconcernto us. LackOfTransparencyInDecisionMaking PerhapsthelargestsingleproblemconfrontingAIatthemomentisinregardtotheopennessof decisionprocesses.ThemorecriticalareasinwhichAIsystemsstarttobedeployed-health care,finance,orlawenforcement,forinstance-thegreatertheneedbecomestoknowhowit actuallyarrivesatitsconclusion. Alas,mostAIsystems,especiallytheonesbasedondeeplearningalgorithms,are"black boxes."Inotherwords,thisisthathiddenpartofAI:thedatasystemprocessestorendera decision.AsAItechnologiesadvance,theiropaquenessmayleadtoalossofaccountability, therebyverylikelygivingrisetothepubliclossandlossoftrust. BiasinAISystems AnotheralarmingissuewithAIisitssusceptibilitytobias.Themachinelearningalgorithms receivetrainingongiganticdatasets;hence,ifthebiasesorincompletepiecesofinformation persistintheprovideddatasets,anAIwilltakethemas'truth'andreplicatethemoverandover.

Forallitsapplicationsinmakinglabormoreproductiveandefficient,suchapotentialAI applicationcannotbethrownintothewatersofmassunemploymentforwhichithasanactual capability. Perhapsthequestionmostdebatedaroundthistechnologyisonthejob-displacement capabilitiesofAI.ThisrequirescarefuldiscussionabouthowAItechsolutionscanwork alongsidehumanworkinsteadofjustareplacement.

Over-RelianceonTechnology WhileAIcontinuestoseepdeeperintoourdailylives,sodoesthepotentialriskofbeing over-reliantontechnology.ItmayevenoccurthatindividualsrelyonAIforsuchactivities that previouslydemandedhuman judgment,creativity, orempathy. Over-relianceonitsusagemayreduceourabilitytothinkovertheproblemsandcaneven devaluecriticalthinking.AI-basedsolutionsseekeaseoftasksalongwiththeefficiency of workingbutshouldnevertrivializethehumantouchinactivitieslikedecision-making,learning, andsocialbehaviors.
