What is Sex Positive andIs it Good for Nudism? What's sex-positive? Sex positive means accepting and honoring that everybody is unique in their sexual identity, orientation, and plethora of sexual desires. Sex-favorable says it is fine to be hypersexual, and it is alright to be asexual (ie, no curiosity about sex).Homosexual, straight, bi, transgender, intersex, polyamorous, monogamous, BDSM, fetishes, kinky sex, vanilla sex. Essentially, as long as it's between consensual adults, it is all A-okay. This means fully refraining from shaming or judging a man because of their sexual activities and preferences. It is very important to note the authorization aspect rules out sex with creatures and children.(There are arguments about what constitutes approval, but I'm not going to get into that.) As nudists and naturists, there's always the need to emphasize that nudism isn't about sex. This really is mainly since nudity and sex are https://twitter.com/duhexemutok connected in people's minds. But we, as an organization, are sex-positive. Our philosophy is a sex positive one. Whatever you do with your sex life isn't for us to judge, nor is it any of our company. We welcome everyone, including swingers, provided that they act and abide by the rules at events. (I mention swingers because they've ever been present in the nudist community. Regrettably, http://lesslan14wuss.livejournal.com/43318.html become swinger sex resorts.) We don't care what they do behind closed doors. Only do not mistake us for a sex-party swinger group!!! So naturism isn't about sex or sexuality. And yet, what we uncover that irritates everyone else, are the genitals and female breasts (at least in part because they are considered sexual). In America I Had like to think we have slowly become less prudish about showing https://heicravabedkar.wordpress.com/2016/11/01/do-not-get-conned-by-naturist-relationship-websites/ as bathing suits went from modest one piece body suits to the teeny bikini. But genitals and female breasts have always stayed taboo. Do our hang-ups about sex cause our hangups about full-frontal nudity? Take a peek only at that quotation from an article about sex-positive activist Betty Dodson, where nudity can just as easily replace sex, and it'll continue to be true: "But on the other hand, I must admit, if I think about it carefully, we are collectively hung up about sex nudity. We're embarrassed by it. We conceal it. We stigmatize it and we together support the facade where in public all of US handle it as socially unacceptable. Nevertheless, it's very much part of us. We can't avoid it; it's constantly with us. We can try and suppress it; we can attempt to conceal it, but in the end, it'll always come back to haunt us." Sex Favorable Gender Identity Is the sex-positive movement great for naturism? In my opinion, absolutely. Perhaps in releasing our shame about sex, we may also release that shame about nudity. Or the shame aboutour bodies and the genitals we're constantly trying to hide. We can accept that sex is part of being human. Hopefully we're able to learn to be as comfortable with our sexual parts, as we're with the rest of our bodies. Be More Body Positive Aren't some folks opposed to attempting nudism because it involves exposing special parts, rather than because it reveals body fat or flaws? Because they are more self-conscious about https://twitter.com/besisibahyje ? In my research on sex-positive, I also came across this quotation from Betty Dodson herself: If we're able to grow up understanding that the genitals are beautiful parts of our bodies, we'd be proud, we wouldn't have shame, we wouldn't have sexual guilt. It's worth repeating: Genitals are beautiful parts of our bodies. Yes! For all those sex-positive teachers and activists out there, please teach folks this. The naturists, as well as a lot of other folks, will be eternally grateful. The sex-positive movement can benefit us all. Goodbye body / sexuality / genital pity, hello sex-positive, body-positive world. What do you think about the sex-positive movement / doctrine? Should nudists embrace it, and would you believe it helps naturism?
