Thus the most important aims of education is to satisfy their curiosity. It is also desirable to light a new flame of knowledge among the students at this stage. The path of their life will get brightened with this flame and they will get success in future. This flame will also fill the young students with zeal for life. Up to the 10th level the aim of education is to provide general education about different subjects. To provide basic knowledge of Economics, it is essential to include it in IX class as a part of social studies. If we introduce it as a separate subject in IX and X level, it will increase the burden of students as well as the school. It is introduced as a separate subject at the higher secondary level. Economics provides knowledge about the industries, trades, agriculture and other means of production. It also provides the knowledge about different vocations. It will help in developing the original thinking of the pupils and also help in solving various social and individual problems.

It also provides the knowledge about economic situations of other countries as well with the study of foreign trade, foreign exchange, imports, exports etc. This will helpful in acquiring the knowledge of the structure of a country which determines the way of living, pattern of behaviour, civilization and culture etc. He can compare the economic structure of his own country with the other countries. 8.
