  1. How do you troubleshoot Windows 8

  2. Step-1: Click start screen on windows 8.

  3. Type ‘Advanced’ in search text box, then click on the ‘Settings’ feature from the drop down list. Step-2:

  4. Step-3: Click on ‘Advanced startup options’ then you will land to General PC setting and the ‘Advanced startup’ option will display.

  5. To restart your Computer click on ‘Restart now’ button. ‘Advance startup options’ menu will display after the Windows 8 restarted the computer. Step-4:

  6. Step-5: Click on ‘Troubleshoot’ Feature.

  7. Step-6: Click ‘Advanced options’ feature.

  8. Step-7: Click on Automatic Repair option that is displayed in the ‘Advanced option’ screen.

  9. Step-8: Now, your Computer System will start rebooting and a screen will display where you can see windows is preparing Automatic Repair. When it is completed, a screen will display your account options. Choose an administrator account to login with.

  10. Step-9: Enter the password, if present for the account you selected to login with and then click on Continue button to proceed with the automatic repair. Now, ‘Automatic repair’ will start and diagnose the issue with your computer.

  11. Step-10: Wait for the Automatic repair to complete as it may take quite a while. Your computer may reboot during the process. After the automatic repair process is finished, it will tell if anything is repaired. Else, one popup will be prompted with the ‘Shutdown’ and ‘Advanced Options’ buttons if Automatic Repair was not able to fix anything.

  12. Step-11: Click on ‘Advanced options’ button, followed by Troubleshoot and Advanced options again. Then you can select other tools to diagnose your problem.
