  1. How to Install Tundra Fog Lights? Before you start installing your Tundra fog lights, you need to make sure that you have the correct bulbs. Staying compliant is very important if you want to stay on the right side of the law and avoid fines. The first thing to do is to check with the regulations of your state about the permitted fog light colors. After that, be sure to do the following prior to the installation of your Tundra fog lights: Pick a type of fog lights There are basically three types of Tundra fog lights that you will find in the market: halogen, LED, and HID. The ones already in your car are halogen bulbs. They are the cheapest but also the least bright among the three types. If you have a bigger budget, consider LED bulbs. They have the best light output and are the most energy-efficient. But if you are looking for an affordable upgrade, then HID fog lights might be the better option! Select a style of fog light Fog lights are also classified according to where they are mounted. Three of the most popular are bumper mount, grille mount, and rackmount. For pickup trucks like Toyota Tundra, the usual choices are grill mount and rackmount. The following are some of the important steps involved in installing fog lights. 1. Check the instructional guide that comes with the fog lights. 2. Open the car hood and locate the mounting holes. They are usually found under the headlights. 3. Disconnect the fog light switch from the housing. Again, refer to the manual when looking for the fog light switch as this could vary depending on the model of the car. 4. Remove the fog light housing, making sure that the unscrewed nuts, bolts, and washers are in a safe place so that they won't get lost. 5. Insert the new set of fog lights into the housing where the old fog lights were installed. The new fog lights should fit exactly in the holes. If not, then you will need to change them or drill new holes. 6. Put the nuts, bolts and washers to secure the fog lights in place. Then, reconnect the fog light switch. Most fog light kits have detailed instructions to guide you through the installation process.
