  1. Symptoms Of Canine Influenza

  2. Persistent Cough Dry or moist cough lasts 10-21 days and is unresponsive to antibiotic or suppressant therapy. The viral infection results in rhinitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, and bronchiolitis.

  3. Respiratory or Ocular Discharge Sneezing, a thick nasal secretion is witnessed in affected dogs. Runny eyes, red eyes, mild fever (104-105oF), are among the common clinical symptoms.

  4. Purulent Nasal Discharge Consistent nasal discharge is caused by secondary bacterial infections like Pasteurella multocida and mycoplasma species. Chest x-rays also may reveal consolidation of lung lobes.

  5. Pneumonia Severely affected canines exhibit clinical signs of Pneumonia. High-grade fever (104°F to 106°F), trouble breathing, and increased respiratory rate is seen.

  6. Reduced Appetite Appetite loss, anorexia, reduced activity level, and lethargy are prevalent clinical signs of Dog flu . Symptoms of depression are observed in severely affected pets.
