Types of API Ring Gaskets by Goodrich Type R & RX Type BX Special Variants Oval and octagonal cross-sections. Interchangeable and rated up to 6,250 psi / 5,000 psi. Octagonal, non-interchangeable, rated up to 20,000 psi, with pressure equalization holes. PTFE inserts for turbulent flow reduction and nitrile rubber coating for flange protection.
Materials & Hardness Specifications Goodrich Gasket offers a wide range of materials including Soft Iron, Low Carbon Steel, Chrome-Moly, various Stainless Steels (304, 316, 347), Inconel, Hastelloy, and Titanium. Hardness is precisely controlled (Brinell max 90-160; Rockwell max 56-83) to protect delicate flange grooves. Gaskets can be electroplated with zinc or alternate coatings up to 0.0003= thickness for enhanced corrosion resistance.
