  1. How to claim tax deductions on your donations?

  2. DONATE ONLINE Are you someone who makes investments to save tax? Here’s a suggestion for you to get an 80G tax exemption. Donate online and help a child go back to school. World Vision India ensures vulnerable children have access to quality education. In other words, the organization makes sure children go to school regularly. For children living in vulnerable communities in rural areas, education is only a dream. Girls are denied a proper education. Families consider them a burden and marry them off before they turn 18.

  3. Rachna first heard of child marriage at a Children Club meeting run by World Vision India. Before that, she didn’t know child marriage was illegal. In her village, 60 km from Lalitpur town, children were married off when they hit puberty. Rachna’s parents Papu, 45, and Kamal, 44, married when they were 13 and 12 respectively. At 15, Rachna was at that crossroads. The family was beginning to look for a groom for Rachna. Then World Vision India stepped in. Partner with World Vision India and make an investment in the lives of children like Rachna. Donate online to get 80G tax exemption and make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children in India. Send a child back to school. In India, the legal age of marriage is 18 for girls and 21 for boys, but in Rachna’s village, people were unaware of the legal systems in place. Let’s fight injustice in the lives of vulnerable children, especially girls living in fragile contexts. Donate online and send children back to school. Invest in their lives and benefit from 80G tax exemption.

  4. Rachna is now 18 years old and studying in the 12th standard. Her parents never attended school. They are farmers, and that would have been Rachna’s fate. “I would have been married if it was not for World Vision India. And I wouldn’t be in school,” Rachna says. Rachna’s parents began looking for a groom when Rachna was 15. World Vision India’s staff talked to her parents and sensitised them about the ills of child marriage. “I have a friend who got married when she was around 14. She bore a child, and she and her baby were sickly. In the Children Club, we learn about the health implications of child marriage on the mother and the baby. Parents are also sensitised,” says Rachna. A small intervention and counselling is all it takes to prevent child marriage in India. Send children back to school. Donate online and enjoy an 80G tax exemption.

  5. Rachna’s parents were ignorant about the evils of child marriage. They were pressurised by their relatives to get their children married. That was a common thing. But they have decided to put Rachna through school and college. Let’s encourage more parents to send their children back to school. Donate online to support children. Enjoy the benefits of 80G tax exemption by sponsoring a child. Rachna has taken part in self-defense programmeorganised by WV India. More than anything, there has been an overall behavioural transformation in the community. “I want complete my education and be able to stand on my own. I want to become a teacher and then later marry. My parents are understanding and they don’t force me anything now,” Rachna says Rachna has participated in Gender Mela organised by WV India to teach about gender equality through various activities.

  6. Here, boys are asked to do household chores they would otherwise never do at home. In a male-dominated society, the gender landscape is much more balanced than it was. “Now even girls can be educated. If my brother can study, I can study too,” says Rachna. Promote gender equality and inclusiveness across the country. Your efforts will benefit a child living in a vulnerable situation. Donate online and send a child back to school. Invest in a child’s life and reap the benefit of an 80G tax exemption too. Join us. Together for children. For change. For life.
